Leadership: Executive Secretary-Treasurer Ed Spence
Under the direction of Executive Secretary-Treasurer Ed Spence, the growth and leadership of the Millwright Regional Council of Ontario continues to grow, evolve and build strong. As maintenance and construction professionals, our organizing and training efforts continues to secure work throughout a broad range of industries performing mission-critical work at gas, nuclear, and alternative-energy power plants.
Our ability to adapt to change and the willingness to listen, has allowed us to embrace new training technologies, partnerships and standards that ensure we remain competitive in vital industries as diverse as automotive, aerospace, food processing, pulp and paper, material handling, mining, petrochemical, steel and alloys, pharmaceuticals, and mechanical construction.
This ability to adapt to change paves the way for future generations by adopting practices that will lead to 70 percent market share, greater productivity, and overall, a better way of life for our members and their families.

Initially founded in 1974 as a District Council, the Millwright Regional Council of Ontario (MRCO) was awarded Regional status in October 1997 by the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America (UBC) and is mandated to serve and represent the membership of our millwrights throughout Ontario.
The MRCO is a professional organization that delivers procurement, construction, maintenance, and project management Millwrights to clients in diverse industries all across Ontario through our 8 strategically located offices.
